Guided by his enduring passion for blending India’s artistic legacy with contemporary design, Gaurav Mehta, Founder of Jaipur Watch Company, unveils the Filigree IV Wristwear; the latest evolution of the acclaimed Filigree collection.
Continuing his mission to celebrate traditional artistry through modern horology, Gaurav draws inspiration from the ancient filigree jewellery-making technique– a meticulous craft where artisans delicately solder fine metal threads into elegant motifs and lacy patterns. For centuries, this technique has been celebrated for its ornamental scrollwork and symmetrical Art Deco influences. This intricate art form, known for its symmetry and fluidity, is reinterpreted here with precision and restraint.
In this special creation, Gaurav Mehta elevates the narrative further by incorporating the 2 Naya Paisa coin, a post-independence artifact minted between 1957 and 1963. The coin’s inclusion infuses each timepiece with cultural and historical significance, transforming it into a wearable chronicle of India’s heritage.
The Filigree IV emerges as a refined successor introducing enhanced proportions, new colours & dimensions, and a reimagined case design that continues to reflect its commitment to craftsmanship, precision, and storytelling through time.
“The Filigree IV embodies our mission to preserve heritage while continually evolving our design language,” says Gaurav Mehta. “It’s a tribute to timeless craftsmanship, reimagined for today’s collectors.”
With Filigree IV, Jaipur Watch Company once again redefines the essence of Indian luxury horology- where art, history, and time converge in a single masterpiece.
